Have a chance to purchase a 72 Centurion, 455. Top is held together by duct tape, interior nice, white, split bench. Elect, windows, seats, the whole nine..don't believe AC is there. .Body very good, some bubbles near the bottom of the rear fender area. Owner purchased at a lien sale several years ago. Car covered ever since...Without seeing this thing you guys/gals what do you think it's worth.. I've got to move on this pretty quick.,,, so a quick reply would be great...thanks again.. I've attached a few pics...

Based on the pics, it looks like that will take some TLC to be "decent" again. If it were me, I would offer $500 (but if your heart is really set on it you might offer more)...

"NADA" SAYS IT'S WORTH ABOUT 3300 THE WAY IT IS.....I'm talking considerably less. Thanks very much for the input. I don't know about "rough" thought it was not toooooo bad..

If the guy want to sell it quickly telling you you gotta move quick on it. Well then I would....move far away from it unless the price is maybe a grand. Offer him about 800. A top condition Centurion would fetch around 10-12 grand an average one maybe around 6 to 10K. With that car it needs a top and if the mechanical part works you are still looking at an easy 2 grand or more. Unless you can do it yourself. Bubbles in the paint can be hints of prior body work starting to give out. I would bet that if you pulled out the rear seat you would have rust holes in the floor boards.

The engine? It looks like it was screwed around with. I would look closely at it. So low ball it and he doesn't bite, walk away. Centurions do show up now and then in decent turn key condition.

If you are searching for a project car then maybe this would be it. Otherwise check out the Centurion site where you can get a better idea on the prices.

Hey Rick, was actually thinking of your tow vehicle...Ya, on the car...Engine does look like some changes were made, coil etc. Wires running all over the place. Spoke with the guy yesterday and he said they are not bubbles in the paint but a scratch or two where the car brushed something. Not even dented in...so thats not a big deal....Rust in the back. Ya, could be, he said no, and sent pics of where the top settles down. I priced tops, 187 than asked a friend if he could do it...no problem, no charge...he's done them before..Still a toss up. I don't need another project, too many now, but thought I might be able to turn a 10 out here cause Calif. convertibles are a very wanted items, especially old early 70s and 60s. Thanks again for all the input.
