    Double "D" GEAUX SAINTS

Not much of a matchup, but I was in high school, and I thought it was the coolest thing.

I had a buddy (later my best man) who had a cherry red 1972 Centurion 455, complete with working 8-track. We were filling up at a gas station at the foot of the old Biloxi Bay Bridge (pre-Katrina) had 8 people in the car seated comfortably. As we were leaving the gas station, we pull up next to a late 80s Corvette with only one person in it. We came to be side by side, and my buddy dropped the hammer. We left that poor guy in his tracks not knowing what had happened to him! That very moment turned me on to old cars - I had to have one.

Years pass, he sold the Centurion, but was able to buy it back - after the salty floodwaters of Hurricane Katrina took it's toll. He still has it, under a motorhome carport, trying to decide what to do. I would love to buy it and bring it back to life, but I simply can't right now.

    Was a fun day! :3gears:
