72 block 455 into 70 electra correct pump is short nose right?

after a long while im getting my correct ta pump ,just want to make sure the year 455 has nothing to do with a 70 electra needs a 70 short nose pump. my block is though 72. fan sits too far under th shroud with the current long nose,thanks marty

 

71-up use the long nose water pump...has nothing to do with the block year.

 

Use the short nose if every part other than the block is 70. For example if all pulleys and brakes are 70 then short is correct.
