I know this question has been worn out. I was wondering I know the 70 grill and lenses are being reproed, but what was the status on the 71? Is there a chance there may be repros around for 2003 NATS? I am no purist, but I just want to put the correct year for the correct car. I have an excellent pair of 70 lenses and a fairly decent 71skylark grill. I cant remember supposedly I believe the grill mold was destroyed in a fire???? Steve
The 70 lenses have been done and are awesome from all accounts. The 70 grille is just a rumour at this time as far as I know...71 taillights are a possibility but I doubt you will ever see the 71 grille get done properly...just not enough possible purchasers to justify the mold costs unless someone with very deep pockets takes pity on us. The mold that got destoyed in a fire (from what i hear anyway) was a repro mold and the grilles weren't that great a quality, however anyhting is better than nothing. BuickAl is the driving force behind many of these new repors and I suggest that anyone who can reasonalbly afford it buy the products they need, only that way will we assure ourselves of possible future products being made.
