I have a 71 skylark grille that was in the twin turbo car. It has two broken studs and is a little rough in the areas under the bumper but will look fine in a driver.. The two broken studs are the upper, outer ones. You make a donation to the board and show me somehow. I will box it up nicely for free, and then you pay actual shipping. Don't expect me to stop my life to get this done however. It's off the car though.. Other than the two broken studs, what you can see through the bumper looks great.

Here is a pic of it on the car..

I am interested in this, what is a fair donation?

No particular amount. I don't need the grill, but would like the board to benefiit from it. I don't really know what it's worth.. There is a "donate" button at the top of the page which takes you to PayPal.. Or, I can box it up, figure shipping, and you can pay me extra and I will donate it. You can also contact the owner of the board directly and send him a check..

Is $20 fair to donate? I don't want to insult anyone but I dont have too much cash to spend. I figure shipping will be around $20 (my zip is 12586) If that all seems right I would just send you the 40 outright that way there is no trickeyness trying to prove the donation

Like I said, there is no set donation level. Give me some time to get it boxed up and see what it will cost to ship and I'll PM you with the cost and we'll go from there..

Kind of a dumb question but is there a difference between the 71 and 72 grills? Really I dont care about originality, as long as it bolts in that is fine by me.

Either will bolt in place of the other. It can be done without removing the bumper, but may be tough. I have unscrewed the bottom outer studs which will make it much easier. The headlight surrounds will have to be loosened, but not removed.

Perfect, that doesn't sound bad at all. I have installed and disassembled this front clip so many times that it is second nature now so maybe I'll take the bumper off to be safe.

    Thanks again Jay

The two studs that I made will only fit on their respective sides, and can easilly be glued back on. Glad it will work for you..

Give something to someone that needs it.
