I was cleaning a rat nest out under my backseat and I found this broken blue wire coming from under the carpet on the passenger side , next to the seat mount. I cannot locate the rest of it and dont know what it goes to. The electrics in the rear of the car all seem to work except for my fuel gauge, could this be the source of my gauge problems or just somethin ive overlooked? If anyone knows what this wire goes to, it would be greatly appreciated!
My first guess is that it's the original wire for a rear shelf speaker. Passenger side is where you should find a blue wire for the rear shelf speaker. Forward end plugs into the spare blue factory installed on pass. side of the radio.
Thats probably what it is then, someone had already removed the factory shelf speakers and put a different head unit in when I bought it. Thanks for the help, ive been goin nuts tryin to find the rest of the wire :laugh:
