71 riviera posi?

seen a 71 riv at the yard today.had a posi tag and 12 bolts holding the cover on.it doesnt look like a chevy 12 bolt thats for sure.what is it fellas?........................thanks

 

It is a Buick full size posi, get the gears and carrier. You can easily sell them.

 

so its only good for full size buicks rivs,lesabre ,225 etc?

 

Yes, correct for full size with the 9.375 rear. Get it, if you can, no one makes posi units for that rear in the aftermarket.

 

Yup, that's a hard-to-find posi, pretty much an unbreakable rear end.
