talked to Jeff last night, sounds like the car needs a complete resto, but he says it isn't rusty. He has a fair amount of parts with it (couple of hoods, bucket seats, console, even some 4 speed parts) and a hardtop and convertible that could be used for more parts. He seemed to place a pretty high value on the parts (Hoods $1,200 - $1,500, bucket seat cores $600, 4 speed tilt steering column $400- $500), but I am not a parts guy, so maybe that is what you could sell them for. Don't know if he is willing to separate them at this time or not. He also has a 65 4 speed GS hardtop, dual quads added, running and driving car, factory red on black but in primer now, needs paint and interior work at a minimum. I think he said he would want around $8,500 for it, but would like to try and sell the convertible car and stuff first, but that didn't sound like a must.

Chris, those parts prices he is expecting are just plain too high, like double for everything listed.
I saw that add, even if I had the cash for another project right now the price sounded high for a major project to me. If I had the cash to spend, I would probably want to check out the 65 GS though!
