I must regretfully sell my prized GS. There is so much to list I will probably miss half of it so ask any questions you may have.

Originally a GS350, now has a 70 455 with 73 iron heads. Motor built to 500hp by JW, TH400 built by JW with switch pitch convertor, custom driveshaft with 1350 grade yokes and joints, Moser built 12 bolt, Eaton posi 3.42 gears, no c-clips, upgraded axles.

This is a full weight GS street car with AC (needs R-12 recharge).

There are tons of goodies on this baby and only about 3,000 miles on the build. Not only was the entire drivetrain done but the brakes and suspension were totally redone with stock parts just before JW did the mechanicals.

    Some of the parts used include;
2.5" x-pipe with long case Walker mufflers
TriShield billet mech fuel pump with upgraded lines to tank
no-hop bars on rear upper control arms
    air bags in rear springs
    Hurst quarter stick shifter
    MSD with limiter
    New Interstate battery

The body and frame are very solid. I think there is one small 2"x4" fiberglass patch in the RR lower quarter, no other rust. The car is in awesome shape, maybe not a full on show car but a REALLY nice FAST driver that is completely sorted.

    Looking for $18k, delivery negotiable.

    Thanks for looking,

I will try to get those pics today Joe. We just had another foot of snow the other day, so I've been plowing a bunch and getting the car out for decent pics is getting more and more challenging.

The floors are solid, in fact the whole thing is really solid. It was a Kentucky car most of its life, I think the 61k on the odo is actual, the interior is all original. The grille is a Skylark item, not an original GS grille as far as I know. The other non-GS trim is the rocker stainless, it has black stripes not the red stripes a GS should have.

    Brent-

Do you have history on car? is this the original color? When was it repainted? any rust thru the floor boards or radiator support?

From what I can see, and JW agreed when it was living at his shop, the car is very solid and always has been. The floors are original and solid, as is the core support.

It was originally sunflower yellow or something along those lines. I do not know when the repaint was done. The paint is holding up very well though and looks very good.

Nice car. What is the performance on the strip? Is it still for sale?

Yes the car is still for sale.

I never did get a chance to run it on a strip at or near sea level. Our local track is at 7000ft and the car runs 13.65 @ 101 up here. It should easily run 12.1-12.2 at lower elevation.

Just one more reason I am selling. There is nowhere within a 10 hour drive to really run the car. When I started the project I lived in MN just 45 mins from the track. Now it mostly sees a 60 mile round trip on the highway to and from car club meets.

Sounds good. I your price firm or is there room for negotiation?

I have nearly double that amount in the car, and very few, well cared for miles on it since the build-up. I am firm on the price.

I set it up to be a wicked driver that is track ready. We also stopped short of an 11 second car because I didn't want to install a cage. All the right parts are there. You could bolt an SP-1 and Holley HP onto it and with slicks, which the drivetrain was built to handle, it should drop into the high 11's. Yet I can cruise it down the highway with the AC on. Trust me, this is a huge bargain at that price.

Thanks for the interets, let me know if you have any other questions or need any other pics.

Could you post or pm me some pictures of the underside of the car?

This pic was taken at TriShield. It doesn't look any different today except it could use a good pressure wash, I drive the car. BTW, I will steam clean the engine and underside before delivery if you like.

Anyway, you can see new ball joints, swaybar links, tie rod, center link, even the calipers and rotors were new. You can see the blue twist lock fuel line, in the frame rail, JW ran from the tank to the billet fuel pump. The rear axle was a brand new crate piece from Moser. It is a 12 bolt, eaton posi, 3.42 gears, upgraded spline count axles, and the 9" stlye bearing ends instead of C-clips. Should be very durable with 1350 grade yokes and u-joints on both ends.

On the rear it has my 275/60-15 drag radials which are on 15x8 universal lug chev rallye replicas painted red. They look cool on the car and should be seriously considered for regular street use. Driving it around Minesota near JWs shop you could barely keep from burning the tires at every light, the torque is insane. They go with the car.

The rear suspension was rebuilt as well. The factory boxed lower arms got new bushings. The upper arms are hooked to no-hop bars which plant the rear, and there are airbags in the rear springs plumbed to hidden schrader valves behind the bumper. All four coil springs were replaced too.

The suspension work was done by myself and a mechanic friend at his shop. That is nearly three years ago but only 5000 miles, it drives like a new '71 Buick.

I have to admit that this is a great car. Unfortunately i live in Germany and the transport cost and duties that i would have to pay on top of the 18 K are a little bit above my budget and my wifes tolerance level. I wish you good luck with your sale but if you have not sold it within a few weeks maybe you would consider my offer wich would be slightly lower.
