But, from everything I've ever been taught you do not want to put a rear spoiler on a convertible car like that. The downward pressure from the spoiler working against the convt frame etc etc supposedly will cause flexing problems. Anyone out there running that combination want to chime in? I'd like to know......
My thoughts on that: I could be entirely wrong, but I'd imagine the convertible frame would better resist flexing. Those old spoilers probably don't put tons of downforce on the rear. More for looks IMHO. If they do by some miracle put a lot of pressure on the back end, it would take years and many freeway-speed miles to have the slightest effect. I could be all wrong though. With the top down, lots of the air that would be going over the spoiler on a hard top car seems to swirl around inside, especially in the back seat. Go Pack! John
