Well I bought this skylark 2 months ago with the intentions of fixing it up my way, but due to a house purchase I need to sell. I have done some work already but just need to sell. You all know the work on the Buicks I do. I truely wanted to finish this car because there is little left to do . Here is the run down. 71 Skylark custom 2 door Bamboo Cream with brown top. 464 ci 2353 speed pro piston short block (76 block) straightline cam 226/228 @ .050 430 heads ported (bigtime by G&G) with AM&P stage 1+ valves and springs Kenne Belle headers with Flowmaster Exhaust N25 Rear bumper with Factory outlets stage 1 intake with AM&P oil tray pvc system 1000 comp series Thermoquad tweeked by Catlin mini-starter worked Accel HEI and recurved MSD Wires T/A Buick valve covers Built TH-350 with sprag and hub 9 1/2 inch custom converter 3300 stall 8.5 rear with 3.73's and an Auburn Pro unit Billet Pulleys 119 Amp Chrome Alt Rear boxed lower control arms Edelbrock Adjustable upper control arms 90/10 drag shocks up front Here is what I have accomplished so far. New wire looms and new billet caps. Engine compartment has been detailed Painted steel wheels with dogdish hubcaps for the sleeper look ( although the cam lope will say differently) Trunk has been spackle painted Underside has been pressure washed and painted chassis black. The outside will be buffed and the top will be dyed. Anew VFN Stage2 scoop is on order. I will send it to the new owner when it arrives. All new weatherstrips have been ordered also. What the car needs is the front seat redone and I would replace the carpet just so it looks better. If I don't sell the car I will finish it after we move, but then the price will be higher. This car runs low 12's and sound awesome. Call me for more info 727-638-4737 email me at 1nadrag@verizon.net price is $12,000.00
Yep I fixed them. I am still up in the air about selling the car, because I really like it. But If someone wants to throw out some offers I will consider all of them.
My friend had its twin in high school but with a white painted roof. If only my convert was sold. Tony
Sweet!! I can not believe this is not getting more action! I think this is one of the sweetest sleepers I have seen in awhile. If I had the cash it would be in my garage!!
Yes I got your email. Sorry I haven't posted more pics but I have been working alot of overtime at work because we were bought out. I will post some as soon as I resize them . Within the next couple of days. Thanks Tom
Interior. The interior needs the front seat covered and carpet ( coming up around the edges. That's it!
OK since I haven't had any interest in the car I decided to go ahead an finish it. It doesn't need much and will only take me until the end of june at the latest.( boght a house and moving). When i am done I will repost here before going to ebay at a diferent price. Thanks Tom
