Bruno, ya know I'm not really sure. It's a GS 455 non air car. I bought w/o an engine so I'm kinda lost. Any input is appreciated. Allen

Wheelz, thanks for the info. I'd like to give Fred and Bruno a couple of days since they posted first. Let's say by Sunday evening. If not your price sounds great. Thanks my friend,

I think the non a/c cars use a 37 amp, and the 55 amp is with a/c.

Methinx it also depends on other options as well, ie: power windows, power door lox, etc... this 55AMP will still work on other applications and would be more desirable over 37AMP for stereo system upgrades too.
    Just say'n.

All Stage1 and GS455 with heavy duty cooling used the 55 amp even without AC. They even came with double pulleys on non AC cars. The rear pulley was left empty. Make sure know what you have and what you need. The Stage1 and heavy duty GS 455 also came with all AC pulleys and a fan clutch.

    # 1100943 This would be NON Air / GS 455 42 Amp (Non Stage 1)

They also list a 2nd 42 Amp number of 1100926 (Not sure why two 42 Amp versions are listed for 1971 but.......
    And a 37 Amp - Number 1100905

42 Amp is typically correct for NON Air / NON Stage 1 455

    Stage 1 is a 55 Amp - # 1100891

    Hope this helps!

Or do you need one for a Stage 1? (Then its the 55 Amp)
