I was wandering about the performance of a 71 455 engine code TR. THere is one for sell for $1200 and I am wandering if it is worth the $. I've currently got 350 with 10.25:1 compression, 280 HP in my 69 GS California. I've been looking around for a 70-71 455 for this car. Te engine seems to be in good condition; with a recent bebuild, new water pum, cam, oil pump etc. Since the conversion is going to take require some work and addtitional costs I don't want to settle for a second rate engine. Any advice? WHat are the figures on this engine? Thanks a lot.
