That is a shame.. Someone was obviously over their heads trying to restore this thing... hopefully it can be saved.

Yup, "Tubbed"s brother- I forget his name, Kevin maybe? He had just got the car before the Berwyn Bash and the driver's rear quarter damage was fresh, if I remember correctly. Good catch, Marco.

    Guys

So what is the story on this car?

BTW guys I am trying to pick this car up. I am a few hours away. I actually have most of the parts to get back together if I get it. I stripped a 71 GS 350 about 10 years ago and saved all the good parts. I need to finish up my 71 GS 350 4 speed car before getting on this one. Let me see what happens.

So did you get it? I went up to $3400 and stopped. If the buyer is on this site, I would love to know what your maximum bid was.

I didn't get it! I thought it was waaaay overpriced! For the money it had way to many pieces missing.

If you'd have seen the actual color of the powdercoated front end parts,You'd have passed out..Such a shame for that car. I seen it on my way to Beaver Springs then looked at it a couple weeks later. Was still in really nice shape at the time and was asking in the 7k range for it. John bought it,started a disassembly and there it sat for 5 plus years. The motor went to a machine shop but was never picked up from what Rob told me.I don't know what became of the tranny..This went for way more than was bid.I'd be surprised to see if they actually pay and pick it up. Something isn't right about the bid history either. Looks like someone was running up the bid...

I can see your point of view from it but man did I want that car. I could of had it on the road in two weeks and a 71-72 GS 350 4 speed car is a dream of mine. He told me he sold the motor and tranny.
