Not mine but I wish it was.......... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250579224137&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Love that bucket interior. :beers2:
Yes. The '70 Wildcat's console is the same as the '70 Skylark & GS. The worst thing about this car maybe the rebuilt engine. So many engine rebuilders are not experienced in the nuances of Buick engines, tolerances, etc.
Must be a rare option. I have to say that Ive never seen a console equipped Wildcat. I love buckets and consoles in full size cars. I wonder if its the same as the A bodies as far as the contour by the carpet?.
From back in the day when you could actually tow with a passenger car. The BadBrad-mobile used to be a tow rig too.
The inside does look good. Wonder how much towing she did. I saw some runs in the paint but love the color.
That is an awesome car...but, alas, another case of many who will hem-haw around and worry about a run in the paint, or how much it was used to tow, and let someone else steal it.ou:
WOW is all I can say!!!! One of Buick RAREST and FINEST is all I can say!!!!! Buy this thing, take out the th400 and the interior console, replace it with a storage console and consolette and 5335 Hurst shifter from an Buick A-Body and get a tremec 5 or 6 speed underneath!!!!! THAT would make it the HOLY GRAIL of the big boat buick!!!!! What da ya think about that!!!!
If anyone is serious about this car, they should have it inspected before buying it. The seller usually works like a consignor. He finds cars for sale on CL, etc. and takes very nice photos and runs them on ebay for the owners for a commission if the car sells. I have seen in person a couple of other cars that he was selling and in my opinion is description (both in the ad and on the phone/email) and his photos did not accurately represent the car. If you can see flaws in the car in the photos, it would worry me as he usually is very good about NOT showing the bad spots. I guess I am saying Buyer Beware with this seller.
Maybe instead of playing peek-a-boo in this thread, you could have offered up that you once owned the car back in post #4??o No: I think it's a cool cat:bglasses:
Completely agree Mike, you should always get a car inspected regardless of who is selling it but the reality is everybody doesn't. I don't know him, never met him and he hasn't hurt my feelings before. I am sure he is okay guy, I have just seen a couple of the cars he has listed for sale (before and/or after he listed them) and even emailed / called him before with specific questions about obvious flaws / problems and didn't get honest answers. So I am just passing that feedback along in case someone is buying w/o seeing it first.
Just to put a little closure to this Wildcat, I must say it is in great condition! I ended up purchasing the Wildcat and it is as the seller had described in the listing as well as the conversations I had prior to the purchase. For what it is worth I would purchase another vehicle from this seller given the right opportunity. This is a very rare Wildcat with the options it has, I have been looking literally for years for one with these options. I would like to talk with the previous owner about the work done on the motor, let me know. Thanks, Al
