Brand new with plastic still on it. All I did was mock it up to see if it would fit on my set up, which it did not. I have an original small block 69 GS with a 70 455 and an aluminum radiator so I ended having to go in a different direction for the top plate. 95 plus shipping (it’s 109 plus tax and shipping bought from PP)
Thanks for your post... i am about to install a Ron Davis aluminum radiator & spal fans And don’t believe i can use my plastic top either.. Curious what you’re gonna do to solve the problem
I’ll post up a picture when it’s done. My buddy and I are hopefully finishing it Friday and breaking in the cam. It’s a modified 70 style fan shroud with an aluminum radiator from O’reilly Auto and I’m going to use a random 70s top plate from a Chevy that was free and seems like it will work with minimum mods.
It’s not perfect but it’s working well. There’s a small gap on the sides where the shroud isn’t wide enough to cover the whole radiator. I believe it’s an early 70’s Chevy 350 top plate. We drilled holes in the part closest to the engine that bends perpendicular to the ground. Bolted the shroud in there. We had to cut new holes in the bottom of the shroud to get it to line up with the male connectors on the lower support. Shroud is a 70 style big block reproduction. The radiator is a Murray Heat Transfer Radiator (part #433348). It basically bolted right in, I just had to shave the rubber pieces the radiator sits on down a tad to make it sit slightly lower. Set up is currently keeping my car around 175 to 185 in southern summer heat.
Shroud is Chevy bb. Repo. ? Its in there tight.Works as it should. In anticipation of cooling issues. I have jegs alum and intend on cut insulators to. Fit alum design of tanks( shorter/ squared off) .thanks. For top plate.I have repo. chevy. But just small Buick shroud
