What is the proper color of the shock mounting stud that attaches to the rear differential. The bottom of the shock attaches to this stud and appears to be natural steel....is this correct? Or was it zinc plated?

    Thanks for the help,

    Phillip,
Originally the rear shocks had the bottom bolt as part of the shock assembly, with the bolt end passing thru the rear axle flange and attaching with a nut and washer. This entire assembly was painted shock gray.

The replacement shocks use the stud assembly, as the shocks are made differently.
