I am helping a good friend of mine sell this car due to health reasons. The car is a 70 Skylark. It has a 464 Buick. JE pistons, Eagle rods, Girdle. Block partially filled. TA stage 2 heads ported by Champion race heads. SP2 260-280-A cam. ATI balancer. TA roller rockers. Kenne Bell intake ported by Wilson Manifolds. 1050 Dominator. Stage 2 headers with 3.5 exhaust. Electric water pump. MSD ignition. TH400, reverse manual valve body, 8" converter. 12 bolt rear with Strange axles, 4.11 gears and spool. Front and rear drag springs, tubular adjustable rear control arms, anti roll bar, 8 point cage, good for 10.00. Flaming river steering box. Weld Draglites with custom dog dish hub cap adapters. Car was previously owned by John Gentner (Jtroop). Car is absolutely rot and rust free. Paint cleans up very nicely. Will need some finishing touches with wiring and panel alignment. Has fiberglass bumpers and stage 2 scoop. There is literally too much to list. I will give every detail I can give to serious buyers. No trades. Asking $24000.00 for the car complete. It will also come with some extra parts. May consider selling as a roller, but would rather sell the whole deal. Open to reasonable offers, as the car unfortunately is a must go, but please be reasonable. We all know how much it costs to build a car of this caliber. Car is located in Susquehanna, PA. I can be reached at 607-743-7475. Brandon

Cam lift is 0.567 intake and .0566 exhaust. 260 intake duration at .050 and 280 exhaust at .050. Lobe separation is 106. Centerline is 102 at 4 degrees advanced. Compression I believe is 12 to 1

I'll have to hash out some details with the misses though and see if I can make it happen for the roller deal. I will PM you once I know if I can make it work.

That's fine. I will wait for your PM. BTW, my household works the same way. Joint decision making is a must to keep the relationship good.

    George,

Thanks for understanding where I am coming from. I could not get her to come to a joint decision with me unfortunately. I already have a lot of time and money wrapped up in my build honestly. Whoever gets your car is getting a killer deal though. I am going through what it takes to build a car like yours and 15 grand is the deal of a life time on that caliber of a car. If I were still a single man, Iwould be doing whatever in my power to get to PA this weekend with a truck, trailer and the cash for the car. The wife is the only reason I am problem not the crazy car guy with to many cars to build. She probably helps me from going way off the deep end a lot. Good Luck with your sell, I feel for you that you even have to sell it in the first place. Hopefully someone will buy it so you can get a payday and I can quit day dreaming of how awesome it would be to have the car myself.

    Thanks for your time,

    Jesse

    Jesse,

from what I read you seem like a damn good man. Not often in my life experience do people speak straight up. Thanks for the prompt reply. You are correct I would not be selling this vehicle if it was not needed. I bought this car...meaning I did not build it. I purchased the vehicle from John Gentner (SP?) and prior to that it was Rob Giroux (SP?) car. Between the tow of those men it is a very good beast.

Having said that, with what is transpiring with my health I have to think about my wife and children. A BBB does the family no good if Dad cannot use or operate it.

God Bless you and all the other wonderful people I have interacted with on Jim's board.

    George,

I appreciate your kindness. I don't know whats going on in your life and am not prying to know. I just sent up a prayer for you and your family and hope that everything works out for you during this trying time in your life. Hang in there man.

    Thanks Jesse

    George,
What can you tell me about the paint and body? Any idea where the car originated? Any idea who painted the car,or how long ago. Getting a car painted,in my area,is somewhat of a hex,but I am a stickler when it comes to paint.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, that 15k turn key price from what I can see is a pretty good deal. Wish I had the scratch, you wouldn't be hearing nonsense from me!

That said, you don't need the mods to delete it. Just delete your first post.

It's shocking what people are asking for used parts and people are willing to pay for them. Here we have a car that looks to be a pretty good deal. We know how much is invested if you were building a car like this. I just don't get it. If you were closer I'd be knocking on your door with a wad of cash. Hold out the price seems to be fair. Most people that low ball you don't have the cash anyway. I'd clean it up a little and ditch the spool. Race cars are tuff to sell.To me a car with a spooled rear end hurts sales. Not at all street friendly. It would make a nice street/strip car and open it to a wider market of buyers.
