Anyone know what a 70 NOS Washer bottle is going for? Not selling one- just wondering what is a fair price for one.

  2. That is a tough one to answer, with GM licensed reproductions just recently becoming available for $149. And they are very nice, I've heard. Though I'm sure someone doing a concours resto would still pay big dollars for NOS.

    David,
He is talking about a plastic washer bottle, not a radiator overflow jug. I see these selling in the $50-$75 range.

The Parts Place has the 69-70 repro jugs for $35 on their site and every now and then on ebay for the same price, if that helps any.

    Hey 704spd,

First, please sign your posts so we know who you are.

Second, which washer bottle? Two different bottles came on these cars. One screws to the driver side wheelhouse diagonal to the fender. The second kind rides in a bracket screwed onto the vertically flat inside of the driver's side fender way up front. This second type is still available at GMpartsdirect.com for under $4.00 plus shipping. It was used on a wide variety of GM cars, hense its cheap availability. According to my Sloan documentation and assembly manual it was optional.

    BadBrad and No-name,
Yes there were 2 types of washer bottles. The one type mounted on the driverside inner fender. That type was for all cars except those built for california. The california cars had a charcoal canister mounted for emissions. This canister interfered with the position of the washer bottle, so for california cars ONLY it was moved to mount on the fender like all the 71-72 cars. The fender mounted ones are cheap, the others I see sell for the prices I posted.

    Hope this clears everything up.

I know of someone on this board who recently bought a NOS one on ebay and he paid $75, shipped.

I received the parts place washer fluid bottle for christmas. It looks very nice next to my new coolant tank from frank. That was one drawback to getting the new coolant tank, it made my washer bottle look shabby.

The repro from parts place is nice, especially for the price, around $35.00. Get one and you won't be disappointed.

BadBrad am I missing something? I signed and even said thanks........

BTW- I was referring to the inner fender mounted style. I always thought the fender mount was 71-72 only. Thanks for the education Duane.

    Thanks again,
