Restoring my 70 LeSabre and looking to replace all ball joints, bushings, etc. The upper control arm ball joints have two tack welds. Do we have to grind the welds to install the new ball joints and do the new ones have to be welded? I saw some threads that seem to say if things are in good shape don't replace them with the modern replacement junk. Any opinions on that?
