Could this be the one only 1970 Stage 1 not built at Flint or just deceptive advertising? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...arms=39:1|65:1|240:1308&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245
Does "THIS HAS THE CORRECT DATE CODED 1970 BUICK "GS" STAGE ONE ENGINE RATED AT 375 FROM THE FACTORY" mean it is not the original engine. Wouldn't they just say numbers matching?
To me that means it has a date code correct block, but not necessarily the original block. I am guessing what we will find is that it has a 1970 block, and it may or may not be "date code" correct, just in the right year.
The door panels in the eBay ad appear incorrect for 1970, they look like later year door panels w/ the vertical block rectangle GS door emblems. The Seller should offer the Sloan documentation and/or "full" documentation.
Seller is dreaming and avoiding the truth about his car:spank: . This will be a 70 GS 455 cloned into Stage 1 . Common knowledge,Stage 1 cars were only built in Flint.
The front door panels appear to be 71 deluxe/GS panels with carpet added to the bottoms. Adding the carpet is a common trim shop "fix" when door panels get torn at the bottom. She also has a 72 fan shroud. Duane
I really hope someone asks to see the Sloan documents on this one, or better yet - orders the report directly from Sloan. Do your homework!
70 seats,71 door panels and not a Flint car? It must be a real Stage 1 car...it has the air cleaner lid for proof!!! I contacted the seller for more info and He said He will TRY to find it????
The Dealer/Broker is aware of the fact that this is NOT a Stage 1 car and is in the process of correcting it ... he says. He states it is a factory GS 455, though.
Car is poorly done and missing correct parts....he is dreamin with his price of 22k.....gotta love the quality workmanship on the spark plug wires on the driver's side......just a small indication of many items done poorly.
description now states "THIS IS A 1970 455 "GS" STAGE ONE TRIBUTE AND A EXCELLENT DRIVER " Guess he got caught and 'fessed up!
