My GSX is very clean, the paint is in good shape, but when the previous owner had painted it (I think in 87'), they painted the hood and tach gloss instead of Matte. I'm not ready to spend the BIG $$'s for what I would consider the cars final paint job, in the mean time I just want the hood & tach painted correctly. Plus, the passenger door and hood could be aligned better, I figure if I get the hood painted I'll just have that body shop get everything lined up. This should me over for a few more years. How con I find the correct BLACK o No: I'm hoping to just do the black and not the entrire hood, then I would have to get the correct red and yellow also. VinMan out....
Vin, Check your door hinges for wear. Open each door and then grab the outside door handle and lift the door. If you feel the door move, you need hinge pin repair kits. As for the black, I bet it will have to be sanded and then reshot with matte clear.
I still don't know what color Black to tell a body shop o No: I know... I'm partially retarded.... that goes with being Sicilain. Any specific matte/flat black.... or when it comes to black is this easy for a body shop? Thanks VinMan
