I've got three shrouds at my house right now. One is a correct 1970 for a GS455, provided by Rick Henderson, one is from a 1970 Electra, and the other is from a 1972 Centurion. Here are a couple of pictures showing differences between the GS455 and Electra shrouds. I'll have some of the Centurion shroud a little later.

Notice the difference in diameter and how they fit to the radiator of my 72 Skylark 455 with a 3-core radiator. Also, the GS455 shroud is about 5 1/2" in width compared to about 4" in width for the Electra piece:

Here are the pics comparing the 72 Centurion 455 fan shroud. You can see from the overall shot that there is some support ribbing in the shroud. Also the bolt holes are space back beyond flush with the radiator surface compared to the GS455 shroud. You can see that the gap between the holes and the top radiator cover is much smaller when mounted compared to the other shrouds. There is a gab between the shroud and the upper part of the radiator though. I don't know how this would effect cooling, if at all. The depth of the shroud is about 4 1/2" and falls between the Electra and GS455 shrouds. There are some other physical differences between the three also. It appears that the Centurion shroud is molded differently, possibly to accomodate the power steering box and pump?

That is some good information. I have been trying to figure out a shroud for my 70 455.

    Thanks

    Great Pics!!

Thanks Steve. That is very helpful. Does anyone have any pics of the fiberglass repros that are available? I've heard two different opinions about them, and was wondering if anybody here has used one. Thanks.
