There is one in NC for sale that is already done for $40k, you would be into this one a lot more, unless of course you owned a body shop in Ohio and loved to restore Buicks.:TU:

Went back through my old emails, and the price is $45k on this one, sorry I misquoted it. I checked with the owner and he still has it. It isn't advertised for sale, but $45k would still buy it.

IF this is the car I think it is, it is the 2nd time it has been "Salvaged".
Car was Purchased out of California by Gary Bartlett, and driven to the Houston Area.
    455, 4Spd, RADIO DELETE, Non AC, PS/P/Brakes.
Gary was owner #3 and car was at about the 100k on mileage.
Car was rear ended by a Truck, and required a COMPLETE Rear Clip. (went to Salvage at that time)
Purchased by Terry Paulk of Houston, Repaired, and sold in the Mid 90s.
Car has had Headers and a bunch of KB equipment installed, don't know if it was Salvaged or swapped out prior to the Fire.
Terry had the car at the GS Nats, and I believe it was sold there, (again mid 90s) I lost track of the car until I saw this thread.
I forwarded the thread to Gary, and spoke with him via email, just prior, unable to reach Terry at this time.
IF the new owner is on the board, OR if a Board Member knows the Buyer, I would be glad to assist on it's History.

I have "Spoken" to a former owner since I last posted. (owner #3) IT IS the car I thought.
Owner May have been paid by Insurance Co. and didn't want Salvage due to past History, or didn't want to go chasing the parts to rebuild.
Salvage Title could be from Either incident, where car was rear ended (owner at time told me damage was WELL into the Trunk area, and looked like it backed into a wall @ about 60.)
That was owner #4, and #5 was Mr. Paulk.
I don't know if this was owner #6 or higher on this car, that had the Fire.
It will be interesting to see IF this car comes on the market again, and how it gets represented.
NOT to throw stones, nor question anyones work or abilities, but with the KNOWN History, it could become interesting.

Just to add facts to this thread, the car did not sell, the owner still has it someplace, not at Coparts facility, and or he or she will keep it,or the insurance co. feels 22k was not enough.
And may run it again ,but it will take alot more then 22k to buy it.This is a fact.Regards ,(sucker in Ohio)=,Joe Castrigano,(gsxer stop by and say Hi @ C-Bus look for the gold 70 Stage Ragtop).

22k don't know ? But based on what my plans are for a car like that it would not have mattered that much.Joe
