For sale: 1970 GS Stage 1 4spd hardtop needing resto. Red/black buckets ,VIN446370H153524 The original motor is still in this car. I have pics of the SS stamp and the VIN stamp. The Trans should be the original but I cant locate where the numbers should be to verify this. The carb number is 7044540 LA. This is a solid Georgia Car with some minor rust. I have the Sloan Museum Buick Historical documentation showing that this is the real deal. 45k miles appear on the OD but the mileage can not be documented. The car ran 20 years ago when it was put away in a garage so it could most likely be started with some minor work. This is a great car to restore do to it being a documented numbers matching car with the best color combo and a solid Southern body. The headliner is torn, the radio is not with the car, windshield is cracked, missing the cigarette lighter . Some parts have been removed to start a resto but are included with the car: Alt, coil, etc. The paint is ok for a driver but not a quality job. More tha once. Didn't it get bid to more than $26K but didn't hit reserve? There's a thread somewhere on it.
Yes I listed it on ebay. It bid to $27k. I shipped it up to a friend in MN who I am partners with on the car. We were going to restore it up there. We feel that it would be difficult being partners on a resto when only one of us is available to put in his own time. We just want a quick sale at a reasonable price. We have more than that in the car. Steve
Hi Jim, Here are some bottom shots that I have already. If you need more specific shots I can have Norb take some. Steve
Thanks I think I met Norb this summer at the BCA in Rochester. I aasume this is a car that you sold him in the last several months.
Where is this car at the moment? Would it run by re-installing the engine parts? I'm in Rochester and would like to take a look. Is it at Fred's place or Bob's?
Jim said "the NE"....maybe Connecticut? I'm just trying to figure out if this is who I think it may be...nothing negative whatsoever and nothing about this car which I know nothing about. Thanks.
