70 GS Repro Grilles

So what is the story ...has anyone on this site bought one and is the seller opening up sales and production to non-GSCA members yet? Thnx Patton

 

I have one ordered thur the GSCA but haven't recieved it yet.The grille's are supposed to be here before Christmas ;and as far as I know you must go thur GSCA to get one.Last time I heard anything the first production run was nearly sold out except for ten or so still unsold.If you want a grille I would contact them ASAP because I understand they will be making a 71 GS grille's on the next run.

 

I ordered one through GSCA about a month ago and got the impression thay were just about sold out. They can make only a limited number of grills from the existing mold before the quality starts to deteriorate. They told me at the time that they would be delivered in January, but my most recent edition of the GSXtra said December.

 

How much were they?

 

The individual from France who is producing these grilles, posted on this board maybe last spring or early summer, and indicated you needed to order thru the GSCA. He is not selling the grilles other than to the GSCA. I would think any non-GSCA guys that wanted one of the grilles, could hook up with a GSCA member to buy thru.

 

Exact price hasn't been confirmed;to order a grille you must place a $100.00 deposit and the final price has been said to be $349.00 to $500.00 but not over the $500.00 max.

 

Thanks very much guys....I get asked the question down here a lot as people hear rumors, etc of a grille or they hear of a '70 for sale (which usually needs a grille). Now, at least, I can give them a more informed answer. Patton

The first run of repro grilles is being made, and the shipping target is for Christmas. As for ordering, you have to contact GSCA. It's impossible for me do send grilles to each person, I have to make big batches to keep shipping cost low. All the details where exposed couple months ago on V8Buick forums.
