Let me first say that I have tried the resources I have to answer this question. I wouldn't have posted this request without trying to search for the answers myself and checking my own resources first.

I am looking for the part numbers for the Front and Rear R & L PW Regulators for a '70 GS 2dr HT.

I have checked my Hollander manuals - no actual part numbers given, just compatible model cars with the same parts. I have searched V8Buick via its search tool (I don't think it works well). I have searched the web and also searched V8Buick via the web (Google) and still not found the answer. I have looked at a few other Buick websites - BuickPerformance by George N. and other Buick Vendors and even some Olds and Chebby sites.

    I appreciate your help.

Ken, I really don't have any personal knowledge on PW cars. But, I did look in my 72 parts manual and I only see motors and regulators, not complete combo unit #'s.

I can take pictures of my power window regulator part #’s (if visible)that are supposed to be out of a 1971 GS but I can’t find any resources either for confirmation.
Maybe confirm by wire color code schematic or is that too far out there? Only thing I can think of.

    70- 72 A body Front window regulators:

    9721898

    9721899

The rears I posted above are for 4 door cars. I need to revisit this issue for the 2 door 70-72 2 door A body HT rear (“quarter”) window regulators.

I have gotten out of the habit with all the negativity in the world(no,not just politics) of starting the day with a compliment to a deserving soul.
That said, Thank You for sharing all of your knowledge with us in so many ways Jim & Thank You for your dedication to helping the board run so smoothly for so many years.

    We all are very fortunate.

Hope you have a great day Sir.

    Sincerely,

    John Fritz

I believe the rear power window motors in a 2 door are the same as fronts. Just installed backwards. (Assuming the regulator is the motor that moves the window up and down. Just want to make sure my thinking is sometimes opposite than others.)

Example, The driver front window power window motor would install in the rear passenger quarter window. And vice versa for the passenger door to driver rear quarter.

I have removed my old rear power window motors from my 70 GS and installed new ones from year one a few years back. I still got my old ones I removed in a box. I’ll see if they have a part number on them later after work.

It is my understanding that Ken is attempting to verify regulator part numbers sans motors.

I checked mine. I got the 5045589 and 5045590 which appear in your sheets above.

    Correct.

So those numbers are appearing on the casing for the PW motor? If that's the case, then the whole assembly is numbered (window regulator + elec. motor) , but only on the motor casing and not any part of the regulator? Huh. If that's the case, then how would the manual window regulators be numbered?
