    Thanks

I know I have one... but don't know if it's for an Olds Cutlass or Skylark/GS ... I'll be back if I find it.

That looks like aftermarket body side molding to me. The original body side molding does not have ends like that and is much smaller.

Correct. That was added onto the car after the fact. The dealership could of even put it on when it was new. Dealer installed stuff like that was big business back then.

  6. When I learned about Sloan report I ordered it. After reading it I was surprised to see the side moulding and door edge guards were listed. The car still had both items. I also learned it came with 15” rally wheels but the car had 14”rally’s. I got the correct wheels and suddenly the speedometer read correctly. Another surprise.

If the car came with body side moldings, those weren't them. The originals were clipped onto studs in the door like the vinyl top moldings. Those use an aluminum channel that is pop riveted on. I have the same style on my car.

  8. Thanks for this info.

  9. Thanks to buick62403. I ordered the parts you gave me the site for on eBay. They came yesterday and there were three sets of tips. One of them was an exact match! Amazing to get that after many years.
