This one is back up on ebay. Marco, can you decode for us? TR 188 11A Paint 19A ST 70 44667FL098638 Here Chris
It would be a neat car when done, but on a budget counting for paint, body work, engine rebuild, top, pans etc another 20 K probably will not cover it. (I am presuming someone is not going to do all this themselves but will sub it out. ) So at his starting price of 10K you wil be in at 30-40K and we have not seen the frame rails yet. It is much cheaper to buy a nicer car or one already redone.
That is what is so great about this Board. You get to pass on the painful lessons you learned to others so they can consider them, ignore them, and then personally experience the same mistakes themselves!
Hey Jim, I like this one better when done than the brown 4-speed you had. How about you buy it and redo it, and I will give you $25k for it once finished:grin: Always cheaper to be the "second" owner! Chris
Sounds good, but didn't you already sell it more than 6 months ago? It also had a brown interior didn't it? Chris
Yes but black with a tan top and interior is one of my favorite combos. Car is still here in NC and who knows may be up for sale now that the summer is over. Would you like the owners email address? I will bet I have gotten 50 calls about that car since I sold it.
I bet you have, I was one of them. I think they are still running the ad. Please PM me with the email address. Thanks, Chris
This car was sold out of Atlanta,Ga area about 4-5 months ago by some lady who bought it in Tenn. Check out ad on GSCA board. I think it was bought in the 7-8k range
I didn't see it there either.:Brow: Are you thinking of the one that was being sold for the "best offer"? This one: "VIN: 446670H179775 All original (including upholstery and paint; therefore, needs to be cosmetically restored entirely) PS, PDB, AC, PW, motor rebuilt, bucket seats, 8-trac stereo, new tires, some rust, no dents, but one minor crinkle around headlight. Fun to drive! Pure muscle! Will average offers to determine fair selling price, and sell to good home. Located one hour north Atlanta. http://thatgirlband.com/buick4sale/ " I think that was a different car, or at least it had a different VIN (446670H179775). I remember seeing this one for sale on ebay at least 6 months ago, out of CA that time too, same price, no takers. Chris
John, Funny thing, The VIN in the ad is the same as the VIN on the car from the GSCA board you were talking about. The VIN on the cowl tag in the picture is a different number though..... Aren't they supposed to be the same? Is it the same car or not guys? The plot thickens..... Chris
"The VIN in the ad is the same as the VIN on the car from the GSCA board you were talking about. The VIN on the cowl tag in the picture is a different number though...." It's the same car....think you are looking at the body number on the cowl tag. VIN number is not shown on a cowl tag. Korrie
