It is a 4 speed. L1, L2, Drive and Reverse! I think this may be the convertible that was for sale in the autotrader out of CA for $12,700 and then $14,700 for a long time. I remember talking to the guy, Eddie I think his name was. He didn't know much about the car because he was "representing" the owner. I am sure I posted a thread about it somewhere. :>) I will have to see if I still have the pictures somewhere to confirm if it is the same or not. Hard to forget that interior, the only other blue car I have seen like that is Matt Tyler's bench seat car.
What happened to the headrests? And it looks like power drum brakes all around. You gotta love these people that "know cars"!!ou:
it has my rear bumper. !!! no buick name plate.. also isn't that the wrong interior? isnt that the non-custom 70 interior? all converts should have been custom.
I'd steer clear of that one. Top's on wrong, body panel alignment needs help, rear bumper incorrect, upholstery incorrect and ugly, engine color and detail is bad, trunk looks like a disaster, rocker trim looks to need help, shifter needs parts, ect. I'm sure personal inspection would show more spooge.
Looks like another one of those CAR BOUTIQUES trying to cash in on the lastest hot item !!!!! Lots of stuff wrong with this car.........Paint sucks, wrong interior, engine compartment needs lots-o-work, do any of the #s match? I'm lookin' for a 'vert..........but @ $23,500 I'll be passin' on this one.
Junk if you ask me. But nobodies asking so it's up to the buyer to decide. Gotta love that detailed trunk floor, not to mention the Chevy Orange engine paint. If they would have taken a picture of that outside it wouldn't reflect any images so light the place up and give that fresh glossy paint look. Also i hate the way they did the door panels, and like James says get rid of those exhaust tips.
I looked at pictures of this car back in February when it hit the market then, priced at $12,700, and I passed then. (I still have the pictures, because I am a pack rat, I can email them to anyone who wants them, but they are not as nice as the ones on ebay). The guy selling the car then sounded like it he was a dealer, I think he runs Hollywood Cars or something like that. Not sure if this is the same outfit or not, the phone numbers look different. I would definitely say Buyer Beware!!! What Ron and Matt say is absolutely right, lots of things wrong with this and someone looking to cash in on the frenzy!
what is that silver on the dash ? never seen that before, only black or woodgrain. like adam said, 4 speed ???????? rear n/plate $500-650 fan shroud $500-600 correct interior ? big money radio $200 white washer pump fittings $ 20 + wheel center caps $ 160 ( repro ) repaint engine ? trunk ? top ? what else ? a guy could spend some money to put that thing back right. henry
