Hi everyone! I have a question (or two) - I recently found a 1970 Grand Sport Hood that I would like to put on my 1971 Skylark. Will the hood fit on my Skylark with no problems? I have an extra 1971 hood lip with the chrome - I assume that I can exhange it with the 1970 hood lip (it is pitted). Also, there are five spots on the hood with surface rust - what would be the best way to remove the rust. Thanks in advance for any answers and Happy Fourth of July!!! Chris
The hood lip moldings are not the same but I think they will bolt up. The hoods are not identical. 71 has a hood spring in the center and the ram air grille as well as the main grille are different. I would sand until smooth and prime if it is surface rust.
