I know I was fighting with a 3-year old over the use of the computer. Sorry Greg

i was trying to find casting numbers for the axle, and that thing is rusted pretty dang good.....i think it has the 2.56 gears, though....i arleady had read about dave's hei, i'll pry send it to him when i'm ready.....so for a stoplight to stoplight car you'd go w/ a dual plane? i think i'm gonna get my stock exhaust manifolds done like gesslers.....i was trying to find the casting numbers on my 455, and i can't.....i know where they are supposed to be(below the head between 1-3 and 5-7) but they aren't there.....the 455 cast is on the back..........i got underneath the beast when i was looking at the axle, and i didn't realize how bad the skocks and springs looked.....and my rear brake drum is leaking....doh!.......it is funny, however, that my '98 camaro leaves more fluids on the floor than the '70 electra......

That Electra is HIGHLY modified, and there'ss no tellin' how much fabrication you have to do to make the Ford rear fit.

i'm gonna have to do some fabbing anyways, so i think i am going to end up going with the 9".....it looks like there are a few places that will pretty much make the housings to spec, and then i might try something like airrides 4 link set up......my rear end is 2.56 open, so i'll pry just end up setting it al to the side.........i wonder if i can get the axle shorter for somewhat wider wheels without any tubbing? i'll have to check that out....fyi, i'm starting at the back and bottom and working my way up and foward now.....thanks for all the input

I added an Edelbrock 750 carb, Performer intake and an HEI to my 68 225 and it's a hoot now. No hessitaion from stop but it will be going through tires if I don't lighten up a bit. Exhaust is on my to do list.
