Some year I hope to buy an old Buick boat & drive it the 700 mi. ea. way to/from the Nationals. Seems like it'd be a blast. Shame vinyl tops and trunk mats killed so many... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-buick-electra-225-6/
06C and an H code roof… H is supposed to be gold, which was discontinued before the end of ‘69 on GSs. Was it still available in June of ‘70 on big cars? June of ‘69 would be super early, and the VIN isn’t a low number… Patrick
In this book, "Catalog of American Cars ID Numbers 1970-79" they already started using the Sales Code number instead of the Service Code letter. Fisher switched to that later in the 70's.
Patrick's point was that on A-Body, "H" was discontinued earlier on in the year. Based on the subject Electra, it seems that wasn't the case fir the big cars. There's probably a Service Bulletin that would clear this up.
