Has anyone ever seen a tag riveted on a 70 core support? Looks like it was factory, but most of the tag is missing. Located right side front. Is this correct? May be able to post a picture.
    Thanks,
    Guy

Looks like someone made a "fix" for a grill. I have never seen a pop rivet on a core support.

    ???

Fix for grille? This is off my stg2 car that has never been wrecked. It has the original grille that is not damaged. And the front end has never been off untill I took it off. Car has 1,678 miles on it with no rust anywhere, so I'm seeing things I have never seen before....b/c of no rust ect.

Is this the Stage 2 car that was here in Seattle area? The car that was owned by Dave Johnson at one time?

Guy, thanks for providing additional info. With the little info initially provided, I would have guessed right for an old, used, worn-out car. I have seen "fixes" like that here in FL for holding the grill in place when the studs break or they get lost. Even some repairs using some bailing wire to hold the grill in place. I guess Duane may have a better answer.

George- thats ok...I figured that is was you meant, I've seen some of those fixes. Rick, yes it is Daves old car. I bought it from him.
I'll attach a pic of the back side. It's shiny metal...like a radiator tag. And the pop rivet looks like factory...I've been wrong in the past though. :Dou:

Both Dave Knutsen, and Dean Kaufman worked on that car. I can asked them both.

Rick, thanks, that'd be cool. I've met Dean when I picked up the extra parts for this car...nice people. Tell him "hi" for me.

    Guy,
I received an email from Dave Knutsen, he said..... " I think that is part of the bracket that held the Oberg oil filter which was on the car when Dave (Johnson) got it."

    Hope this helps?
