Hello, Would anyone happen to have a set of convertible windlace in the burnished saddle color for sale? If not, does anyone know if they are re-producing it in burnished saddle? thanks.
Frank is burnished saddle the color of the convert. top on your car? i have a set of that color off a convert. i parted out but i dont know the correct clor its called. i can get a pic.
Doug, Burnished Saddle is the dark saddle color of the 70 interiors. gobuick, You can get a set from a coupe and cut the notches out to "make" them into convertibles. Duane
Thanks Duane, Do you know if anyone makes them or will I still have to find a used pair? All I can seem to find are black or white. I did see the dark saddle color that OPGI sells & it isn't even close. I think it's a Chevy color.
Frank, You better do a bit more checking. The 70-72 pieces are a molded plastic unit and I do not believe they are reproduced by anyone When I had my upholstery shop open we made the 68-69 style windlace. It was a different design, with a rubber core wrapped in vinyl and sewn to cardboard pieces. If this is what Legendary is making then it is not correct for a 70-72 coupe/convertible. Duane
Duane, I will have to call them back & verify that on Monday. I haven't seen a picture of it, they did say that it was for a 70 convertible. Even if it's not correct, I would be happy if it fits & it's in Burnished Saddle.
