My father and I are kicking around the idea of leaving the Stage 1 the way it is for now. I was going to put my other motor and tranny, that I'm building, in it so I wouldn't ruin the original drivetrain. My father and I want to try to purchase another car to put the drivetrain were building in. We're really looking for a 70 skylark, GS clone, or GS. We're just looking for one with a decent body and paint, that I could stuff the motor into and take it out for a ride. We're not looking for a car setup for racing or anything like that. I'd actually prefer one without an engine/transmission, but I will consider anything. Again, we're just tossing this idea around to see what's out there. So let me know if you have anything. Also, I'd really prefer that the car is located somewhat close to NEPA. Thanks. Brian
Not sure what your price range is. I got this one- Its a real 72 Stage 1. http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/car/689619789.html.
I have a '72 skylark, 2dr that I am contemplating getting rid of. It is the one in my signature. It is currently located in Kansas City. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/car/649879028.html
Brian...do you, the wife and kids wanna reason to visit the gorgeous white sandy beaches of Tampa Bay this summer?? Not too long ago, someone else inquired about my unfinished REAL GS project...and ever-so-often I contemplate selling my 72GS 350. The bodywork is compete and has been in epoxy primer for over 3 years. HAD a VFN fibreglass hood but used it on another project years ago. No vinyl top ever! It has a new lower pass quarter, solid doors, pretty much all the interior stuff xsept seats...factory a/c and a bunch of other stuff. No motor or tranny!!!... I was going to build a 455, 4 speed...it does have a chevy 12 bolt 3:08 newly rebuilt posi and factory front disc brakes! Ya see, even tho I have NOT really lost interest in finishing my project, I just cannot seem find the time and money at the same moment. SO I use the word "CONTEMPLATING" because I have a few other irons in the fire and any favorable interest in my project could intice me to sell!?!! This car has been sitting on a rack at my buddies garage and its just collecting dust...Why not PM me your direct email addy and I'll send you a few pix of what I have...We can go from there. BTW looks like I COULD BE be traveling EMPTY to NC in a few weeks...so delivery to THAT POINT could possibly be arranged?? o No: Lets talk shall we? Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Thanks for the offers everyone, but I'm going to pass. Wheelz, your sound great, but unfortunately there is no way I can make it down your way and shipping isn't an option right now. Thanks. Brian
