I have several sets of 1970 71 & 72 tail light housings that I am not going to use. I am keeping one set for myself as a back up but the rest need a good home. $30 per set plus shipping from 27284.

The one I am holding I had previously painted silver. I did a few of them and put a set into my car it really helped the light shine bright when I hit the brakes.

Ryan, aren't they supposed to be chrome inside?

Ryan, you need to figure out what you have there. 70-71-72 are all different (but mostly interchange). I think the one in your hand is a 70.

Frank I do know there is a difference and I have some of each year. I am not sure there is a difference in 70&71 but 72 is definitely different with the center screw. Just seeing who needs what then I will pull them for there year car they are working on.

Not from some I have seen. I have always cleaned mine up then painted them with a bright silver and the last ones I even went as far as putting a clear glitter looking spray just to get them to have a little extra pop. Mart I am not saying you cant have them done in chrome just that from what I have seen most look really bad after 50 years of being on the road and it helps a lot to freshen them up when you have the chance.

So you are admitting you “bedazzled “ a set Ryan?:p
Well, I can’t talk much, one time decades ago I found a reflective silver foil tape and made templates and covered the entire interior housing bulb area & just used stock 1157’s.
Made everything MUCH brighter but didn’t help me much against the 4 door Ford Torino doing a police estimated 55mph that T-boned my 1st GS while she was blowing through a red light.
Woke up looking at the sun throw my bunched up ram air hood and my head meat & hair hanging from the metal pillar cover transition.
Now y’all might begin to understand whutz wrong wit me lmao:D:D:D
