Got a question for some of the gurus. My 71 GS does not have a spot in the hood for the pop-up spring. This spring is on the underside of the hood, near the latch in the front (steel hood not fiberglass). When you pull the hood latch, it makes the hood pop up enough to get you hands under the hood. I have seen some hoods with them and others without a place where one is attached. Why do some have these and others do not? Is it a difference in year model? Thanks.
I hate the pop up spring. Useless in my opinion. Just scratched the radiator top plate. I took the one off my 71.
