Found the rubber isolators/bushings at RockAuto. Looking for source for metal isolator brackets that bolt to frame? New would be nice, but I would have no issues with a used pair I can mediablast and refinish. TY JIM/ROTT

Carmen can probably get you a pair out of Calif that would look brand new.

Good idea, Duane. Got Bruno looking thru his inventory for good used pair, was hoping there was a source for new. Old will be fine, I'm old, and I work better than most ,if not all younguns today!

Check part numbers for them and the rubbers with GM. They were all available very recently.

Oh, yah! SURE -- just what I needed too back in 2004 for the '69 convertible. So, I never got around to installing the '72 rebuilt 455 from FliteLine in Arkansas and the TH400 from US Speed Research and Ken Klazura in Cudahy, Wisconsin.

Anyway, these are the same for the 1968-72 chassis and probably for other applications as well. AT6544Z trans crossmember brackets The Parts Place.jpg AT6545Z crossmember isolators insulators The Parts Place.jpg

The Parts Place Inc. has the brackets and the rubber isolaters too:

Here is a listing for you -- YES -- it's from Motor City Muscle Car / In Line Tube -- 1964-72 GM A body brackets isolators.JPG in Romeo, Michigan -- $29 plus $6.50 shipping:

Then yet another place with these isolators insulators on eBay right now. They claim to fit 1964-72 General Motors A Body vehicles including Monte Carlo and probably the Grand Prix too -- I wonder what 16U135 means -- it must be the Part Number used by GM Classic Parts out of Bowden, Georgia, y'all, the folks listing the parts:

Strange: I selected the Year, Make, Model, Engine, etc. for my 1969 Buick GS Stage 1 convertible 400 three-speed with consolette and the listing says it duddn't fit that there sucker. Wonder what's up with that!

    • Do you know if the parts different for a convertible, as the crossmember is different?
    THANKS! Take care.
