Help!I am transplanting a 72 455 engine into a 70 Skylark(took out the 350)and the power steering pump brackets are not lining up right. Is the pump bracket different from a 350 to a 455 or 70 to 72?

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

Which pump brkts are you using?

You can not use the full size brkts in an A-body. I have this listed on our site w/pics.

Let us know what you have.

The 68-70 power steering brackets differ between 350 and 455. The aluminum triangular piece is the same, the brackets are different. The Parts Place repros the 455 brackets. Click on this thread:http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=84932

    Pump brackets

    Thanks George.
You have a great website.I recently used it for the 455/350 and th400/th350 switch article which was very helpful.I bought parts from "mrbuick" found on your website.
I'm not sure which brackets I'm using.I have two projects going on at once.A 68 GS 400 and this 70 Skylark 350 (cloning into a gs 455)It's to much for a novice like me because I didn't tag and bag all the parts when I shoud have and now some are mixed up.But I'll figure'm out in time.Anyway,I think I'm using the power steering pump and bracket that was originally on the 70 350.Will that work on a 72 455?
What section on your website can I find this info?
    Thanks again,
    Tom

Tom, I know of a local Buick guy if you need other parts. He doesn't have the power steering brackets. Tony
