Driver's side scoop on a 72 breather is different - it is triangular shape instead rectangular as that one for sale is.
A GS hood is a GS hood, they are all the same except for the pop up spring on a 70 (thats easily removed) This air cleaner will fit a 72 but it wont be correct. It may hit the upper radiator hose, but you could get a 70 style hose too I guess.
