I am building a 1241735 block and want to mate a 1231786 head non stage i read i need to use a felpro .040 composite gaskets not steel shim the blocking of the oil passages that i have read is a little vague why? I plan on calling ta performance to match me a cam on this engine which i will have sonic checked, can i use my stock 72-75 push rods with the head and any other concerns this is going into a 69 skyklark convertible so i am not looking for a ho engine just something that sounds good and gets out of her own way.
