    17" Rim???

Just got off the phone with American Racing, and they said to put 17x9.5 Salt Flat Specials in the rear of my GS I would need a 6 inch back space, but he finally agreed to 5 1/2 inch bs. It that right or should I argue it. 5 1/2 sounds like a lot...:Do No:

    Any ideas???

    Thanks Michael

Yep, 5.5"bs is just about perfect(5.75" is perfect) for that wheel, watch you tire section width, anything above 12" will make things very tight, our 68/69 cars don't offer as much clearance as the 70-72 cars do.
What tire size do you plan on running?

Im planning to run BGF TA KDW 285/40/17 in the rear and 245/45/17 on the front. Right now Im just buying tires. MCCS on Mirimar is having a sale and they are about $15 to $20 cheaper than the Tire Rack and no shipping or tax.

I wish ARE would make the rim in a 17x10 but the rep said only 9.5" and 11".

I'm running 15x10's with 5-5/8" backspacing. It's worked out real well.
