I need a 7 blade fan for a 70 Stage 1. It also came on the 350's and standard 455's with AC or HD cooling. It is part # 1376724, but I'm not sure it would be stamped on the fan. I have parts to trade, or will purchase.

This is what it should look like. Thanks!

    Michael Evans,
If you are doing a 72 car then you need the 5-blade fan to fit a 71 or 72 fan shroud.

One just ended on ebay for $35. Here is the auction. They are not that rare from what I have gathered, but I need it since the one I have is the 5 blade, which is not correct.

7 Blade Fan Exclusive to Stage 1?

Is the 7 blade fan ONLY on Stage 1 cars? I am looking at a car and noticed the 7 blade fan. It is a 4-speed non-a/c car from 1970.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the offers, Mike Z. and Marty. Lee's looks correct in the pics, I'm just waiting to get the diameter of it, and for him to get back to me in regards to a trade or a sale. I'll post here when we finalize everything.

Rob - They also came on the 455's (non Stage 1) and 350's with A/C or heavy duty cooling.

    Thanks again everyone. :TU:

I believe you are talking 70 stage 1 cars as the 71 stage ones at least in part if not all had a 5 blade fan. I had had no experience with 72s.

I do not have a factory fan shroud. I gave up being factory correct under the hood (the whole drive train for that matter). I have made my own out of two aftermarket chrome five-inch pieces.

I will do better with the next shroud that I make. I need to pull the air across the entire area, not just in front of the fan itself. :Dou:

The motor wants to run a little warm now that I have moved the compression up to 11 to one.

Will a seven inch not fit at all?

Will I be better off with the five-blade?

I am just wanting the fan that will move the most air.
