This is what I ended up with after all your help. The hood needs some alignment work, I think.

It took some patience holding the pieces in place waiting for the glue to set up.

My gf didn't seem to like me putting it together in the living room either, but it's f'in cold outside and football was on.

Thanks, for the props, she's coming together pretty well. Got her all back together, now it's time for some upgrades!
