im curious what makes the difference in hp between the 69 and 70 gs 350 engine.. to my knowledge they have the same comp. 10.25-1... any coments? o No: James :beer
Hi James, The 1969 350-4 barrel rochester carb had 10.25:1 compression. This had 51 cc headsabd was rated at 280hp. The 1970 350-4 barrellrochester carb had two ratios - 9.00:1 and 10.25:1 These both had 48 cc heads. The 9.00:1 was rated at 285hp and the 10.25:1 was rated at 315hp Check out this link on buicks.net http://www.buicks.net/racing/index.shtml Go to the bottom of the page that lists the "Buick Blueprint Specifications" This will at least give you a little info your looking for. There is tech info for a number of years/motor combinations. Ryan
