RE: 69 stage 1 parts have an extra hood ... you wouldnt know where a 69 core support would be by chance ???
Hello Rnoel The parts you are after are mostly not specific to the '69 Stage1 The '69 GS hood was used on all GS's. The only difference for the Stage1 would be the specific Stage1 emblem. Any '69 GS hood will work for you - BUT !! - the mounting of the stage1 emblem is different than either the "350" or "400" badges and will require you to fill one of the holes and make a new one for the longer in size "Stage1" emblem. I hope you still have yours because they are very rare, '69 specific, and are not reproduced. For your inner fender needs, any '69 A-Body will do as a doner. Special Skylark GS Special Deluxe Wagon SportWagon I believe '68 is the same, but I am not 100% sure of this. Unfortunately repro parts do not currently exist for this, but one of our board members has a patch panel on his future repro parts list. A good source for this would be Hemmings Motor News, a monthly publication that has alot of listings of southern and desert-area salvage yard listings. Your best bet is to call them or fax them your needs. Welcome to the V8Buick board !! In your "User CP" settings is a place for a "signature". We are a friendly bunch here and like to know each others (first) names - If you put it in there it will save you from typing it over and over. We'd also LOVE to see a picture of your car - there is a forum section called "Member Rides" and a specific thread for "68-69s". Feel free to add yours to our gallery :TU: Lastly......do you have any of the original paperwork from the car, such as the Window Sticker, Build Sheet or any other dealer documentation ?? '69 Stage1's are not distinguishable from normal GS's through decoding of the Vin#, anthough there are specific mechanical parts with specific #'s identifying it as a Stage1. One of our Board Members, user name "MARCO" Runs a Stage1 Registry to help preserve the historical importance of the rarest of the rare. Im sure he would love to add your car to his ever-growing listing. Have Fun here.....dont be afraid to ask questions, as thats what this is all about !!!
