I saw a bright red 69 sportwagon at home depot yesterday and it looked great. Now I want one. But I have some questions. It had GS emblems all over the car. It looked like a GS 400 should but a wagon. Except on the rear 1/4 it had the Sportwagon script. Did the sportwagons came as GS's??? Would a R/A GS hood be correct??? And would there be a GS emblem next to the Sportwagon script???

The car looked great and very straight, but he was pulling out, so I did not get to drool for long. If anyone knows this car, Id like to chat with the owner. It was at the Home Depot in Chula Vista off of H street.

    Thanks Michael

in 68 and 69 the Sportwagon was available with the 400" BB and th400 tranny which was effectively the same exact setup as the GS400.

There never was a GS sportwagon. Certainly, a 69 GS hood would fit. I do believe that in 69, the sportwagon had 400 badges on the rear while in '68 they didn't.

Here's some inspiration (wish it was mine....)
