Considering this fine specimen sold for $1800+... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Buick-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Had the original stage 1 distributor... Unknown if the trans or rear matched.. However, it IS a real stage 1!!! ....and I have a funny feeling THIS Stage will be back, in the near future, 'completely restored' and possibly 'numbers matching'...uzzled:
i'd say this seller is very up to snuff on his gs and seems honest but I would think if one would show up with some cash and recent sales trend low 30's is in the ball park
I love the red headed step child's. Someone is going to have an awesome car. I know it's not perfect but to me year, color combo, drop top, stage 1 car!!!! It doesn't get any better then that. I wish I had the dough. I have more then that into my coupe and I would never get from under it. I considered doing a quick sale with mine but the hit isn't worth it.
cars kike the blue one..if you guys start putting the VIN on your posts, its a record...if it turns up again you have documentation the guys on the Yenko board have been attatching VINS to posts for some time, and 3 or 4 cars have been discovered as rebodys a decade later...pretty good idea....and if you try to buy a stage ragtop, you can tell if theres anythig funny going on..i know id appreciate being ablr to find out...imagine buying a 35k convert stage one car and its been rebodied with a 6 cyl special.....OUCH
EXACTLY why I attached a pic of the POP However, if one was to perform a google search... 446379H184196

Fleabay bidders did not used to be hidden and auctions did not used to be deleted after a few weeks ., hmm who's bright idea was that , Also . Who would color change a FACTORY Turqoise car ? May the fleas of 1000 camels ...
As far as stage 1's go... go to the stage 1 registry: http://stage1registry.com/ for 1969 Stage 1's.. Car must be built in Flint. From there, look for RS stamp on engine, BB on trans and either OO or ON code on the rear. The only fool proof way of documenting a real 69 Stage is through the paperwork. On the blue car I listed above, the POP has an engine code (Sxxx), trans code (BBxxx) and a rear code of OO. This = Stage 1. For the 70's, same deal AND for many, Wayne Roberts documentation. 1971 and 1972 = paperwork only. Of course, if the engine, trans and rear ALL match, it's highly likely to be a Stage...
