Following TXGS's thread on the 70 Skylark Custom... What is the main difference between a 69 Skylark Custom compared to a vanilla 69 Skylark? Are the 69 Customs "almost 69 GS's" like the 70 Customs were? Also, I have a 350 2brl motor. What rear gears typically came in these cars? Thanks...
Base engine/tranny on the '69 Custom was the 350-2/manual 3 speed. Gearing would be 2.93 stock with or without A/C. 350-2 engines with 300 or 350 tranny got 2.56 W/O AC and 2.73 With AC 350-4 3 speed manual cars got 2.93 with and W/O AC 350-4 with 300 or 350 tranny's got 2.73 With or without AC ....more later
